Monday Practice

The Rec Center will be closed this Monday for the holiday, as a result there will not be practice for all groups.

Josh Abramovitch, a Senior at St. Thomas High School, will be attending Southern Methodist University (SMU) in the fall of 2010. Josh has been with RICE Aquatics since his Freshman year at St. Thomas where he was an academic All- American, TAPPS state finalist in the 100 fly and an eagle scout. Josh was a National Merit Finalist and a National Merit Corporation Scholarship recipient. He plans to double major in Physics and Engineering Management while at school. While at school he plans on staying active in swimming and rejoin RICE's master program during the summers.

Results from Masters Nationals

Attached are the results of our Rice Masters at the 2010 Short Course Nationals.  RICE came in 19th place out of over 200 teams, including almost 2,000 swimmers.RICE only had a hand few of swimmers in the meet.  Rice had a great meet - including 3 national champions (Rick, Marissa & Vicki) and three national records (Rick-2, Marissa - 1)!  Lots of personal best times.  1st through 10th place scored points and got medals.
