Weather for Practice

Just a reminder to check weather.com for updates to the current and future weather. We will try to keep emails going out and post on the front page of the website but depending on the situation we can't always get to the computer. If there is lightening or thunder in the area the Rec Center will make us clear the pool and pool deck for 30 minutes.

Senior Swimmer Daniel Brownstein will be attending Trinity University in San Antonio this fall. Daniel graduated from Bellaire HS in the top quarter of his class with over a 4.2 GPA. He had a tough time deciding where to go to college, but ultimately chose Trinity University in San Antonio where he received a wonderful academic scholarship.  He isn't sure what he wants to do yet, but has a passion for history and a strong interest in both chemistry and biology. Daniel will continue swimming with the Rice Masters group this summer and will also work at the JCC as a lifeguard instructor, a lifeguard, and will teach swimming lessons all summer. Daniel has plans of keeping involved and active in the pool while at school.

The RICE Aquatics coaching staff wishes Daniel best wishes as he heads into this new chapter of his life.
