FCST Summer Champs

Parents - The Timeline and Warm Ups have been posted online under the event page for the FCST Summer Champs meet. Job Sign Ups will be up tomorrow afternoon. I have attached a note from FCST on possible air quality in the pool. Please plan accordingly. 



Attention Gulf Group A attendees at Gulf’s Summer Champs Meet, July 15-17, 2001 hosted by FCST at Don Cook Natatorium, Sugar Land TX


FCST has been advised by Don Cook Facilities Management, that the natatorium HVAC system is currently operating at less than optimal efficiency.  Although repair parts have been ordered and are scheduled to be installed, Facilities Management cannot guarantee that the HVAC system will be fully functional at the time of the Gulf’s  Summer Champs Meet.
Should the natatorium HVAC system remain at less than optimal efficiency, meet attendees should plan for outdoor seating under pop-up tents until their swimmer’s event(s) are ready to be swum.

FCST will provide a limited number of pop-up tents to be positioned on the grassy area adjacent to the natatorium, however, FCST cannot provide sufficient tents for all attendees.  FCST will also undertake reasonable efforts to improve the indoor air quality by renting large-size portable fans, however, the use of such fans will have limited effect on the indoor air temperature.
We apologize in advance for the facility’s HVAC issue, and hope that all swimmers and their families have an enjoyable and successful Champs Meet.

Astros Night

This is a great way for swimmers and parents to get to know each other outside of practice and meet situations.  Tickets are $22.00 ($27.00 value) and will include a RICE Aquatics Astros Night T Shirt.  Please put in the memo box how many tickets you will need and shirt sizes. (YM,YL,AS,AM,AL,AXL,AXXL). Payments for the tickets will need to be paid by check to RICE Aquatics. Please place your check in an envelope with your families name on the front, In the memo please specify the number of tickets needed. We will need your payment by check by 7/17 or else we will not be able to order your ticket.. You can hand your envelope to Coach Jason during practice this next week or at the Summer Champs meet. We would love to get as many swimmers and families to the game as possible. All swimmers must be accompanied by an adult through out the game.

Early Owl Evaluations

"Early Owl" Swimmer Registration for SWAL Championship Swimmers: August 22nd 5:00 - 7:30 pm.

RICE Aquatics will be hosting an "Early Owl" evaluation for all swimmers who competed in the Championship Finals meet for SWAL this past June. We will begin taking reservations for the evaluations starting July 11th. Time slots will be first come first serve. Please email swimmerevals@riceaquatics.com the following:

• Swimmers Full Name
• DOB and Age
• Summer Swim Team
• Events Swam at SWAL Champs Meet

You will receive a conformation email with additional information regarding the evaluation. Once all available slots are filled swimmers will be directed to our regular Fall registration period.

MAC B and Under

Parents - Just a clarification on the Championship meets. Swimmers who have a BB time or above in an event can swim that event at Summer Champs @ FCST. They can also swim the event below or above that in distance as long as they have a time in the event.  Swimmers who do not have a BB time and are 12 and Under can swim at the Mac B and Under Champs meet. If you log in and your swimmer does not have events selected for the FCST Summer Champs meet, it is most likely they were not qualified for the FCST Summer Champs meet and will be swimming in the MAC meet. If this is the case please log in and commit them to the MAC Meet. See you at the pool, Coach Jason
