RICE Swimmers Advance to Regionals

Four RICE Swimmers advanced tonight at Districts tonight to next weekends Regional meet being held at UH.

Henry Knight - 50 Fr - 6th
Neil Doughty - 100 Bk - 3rd
Stephanie Yard - 100 Fr - 3rd and 100 Bk - 3rd
Katie Reiff - 50 Fr - 6th and 100 Fly - 6th

More swimmers will be competing tomorrow at TAPPS regionals and UIL District Meets.

Practice Changes

Friday Practice -  With some of our swimmers at District meet tomorrow Coach Jason will be off the pool deck and at meets. We will have the following changes for practice tomorrow.  Group 4 Navy, Group 4 White, Senior 1 and Senior 2 will swim 6:00 - 7:30 pm tomorrow Saturday Practice -  Groups 3 and Up will have Saturday practice 8:00 - 9:30 am. RICE Swimmers Ready for District Swim Meets

RICE high school swimmers are gearing up for their District and/ or Regional meets this Friday and Saturday. RICE will have swimmers participating at the TAPPS regional meet at CISD, District 20-5A at Lamar High School, District 17-5A at Katy High School and District 23-5A. Swimmers in the UIL districts will be trying to advance to Regionals the following weekend at UH while TAPPS swimmers are swimming to advance to State in San Antonio.

The Coaching staff wishes all the swimmers good luck at their meets this weekend. Go RICE!

Age Group and Senior Swimmer and Parents

When entering the Recreation Center please use the gates to the right of the middle kiosk. If there is no one at the kiosk someone behind the main desk can open the entrance gate for you upon showing your ID or providing name. The exits are not to be allowed as an entrance.

Spring Champs 1 Meet Info Posted

The Spring Champs 1 Meet is now available for sign up under the events link.

• Spring Champs 1 is open to all 12 and Under swimmers that have a time in the event they are entering. 
• 13 - 14 year olds can only enter events they have a BB time or below in. 
• 8 and Unders will be allowed to enter 100's of strokes with a NT only if they have swam that event as a 50. 
• 8 and Unders will be allowed to enter 200's with a NT ony if they have swam that event as a 100.

This will be the last SC meet for many of our swimmers so lets have a big turn out. GO RICE!
